Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have read the RotR book from 2007 but I've just discovered there is a newer version out, does anyone know what is different or would I be OK with the version I have read I don't want to have to study a whole new book there cant be much that is new! So basicly what I'm asking is what recent changes should I be aware about :)

Thanks Donegalfella I downloaded it, just had a quick glance at it, Do you know is there anything new in it that's vital to know, it just looks the same to me ;)

I have a copy of both versions and to be honest I think there is very little (if any) differences - definitely not enough to impact the questions being asked before the driving test.

Only differences I've noticed are cosmetic :
    • The 2007 version has a few blank 'Notes' at the back which are not there in 2008 version
    • The 2007 version is actually slimmer because they seemed to use lighter paper!
I've checked the Table of Contents and the indexes and they seem identical - it could just have been a reprint with the same info so dont stress or worry over it.

The 'old' rules of the road is the one that was posted into all the homes in Ireland so I doubt they left anything really vital out of it! (although this is Ireland so you never know..)

Think Driveskill is right they're the same thing just some cosmetic differences, Just a newer lot from the printers I suppose so the 2007 one is fine if you have that one. ;)

I know you can download the PDF online but where can you get the actual booklet of the rules of the road?

I think the speed limits for buses were revised in 2008, that might be the difference

Tried 2 of my local bookstores but both did'nt have the Rules of the Road book. They suggested i check the government publications website. Why is it so difficult to get this book?

PS. Easons have it online so i'm going to order from them.
