    Hi there,
Mine is mostly an indoor dog too....but does spend time outside during the day! He sleeps inside at night and be assured I spoil him......maybe too much as I would with any other dog I get!!
We are away from this evening until Sunday, but would it be possible to meet Jessie at some stage??
    Where is she based??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 47 Missgoggles

Thats exactly what she needs Deorade, someone who will give her the attention she deserves. Shes a little gem and gets on with anyone and everyone! She's in Meath at the moment, but she can come up to me in Dublin or could arrange a meeting wherever if your close by. Can you let me know your details so I can pass on to my friend (as I am posting for her)and she can contact you directly and give you more details on Jessie.

    Hey all,

I posted earlier about the 2 cocker spaniels looking for a loving home. Just to clarify...Jarvis is only 7 years old, and Jessie is 3 years old.

    Anyone interested, please PM me.

5 month old chocolate lab looking for a new home. Very cute little boy, very friendly. He is not in my care so I can't tell you much more about him, but if you might be interested PM me, I can put you in touch with his owner.

    Hi Everyone,

I would really love a small little dog for companionship as my own dog passed away recently. The pup/dog would get plenty of love and long walks in the country. He/She would sleep in my house at night and would always have company. I am based in the midlands.

    Thanks Guys.
    Beller.

Sticking a mod note in here since there seems to be a lot of new users advertising dogs etc for rehoming in the last few days.

This thread is here for rehoming animals for free. You are not allowed to charge the potential new owner vets fees, travelling expenses, vaccination fees or any other fees/charges.

Anyone caught breaking this rule wii be banned from the forum and possibly boards.ie

If any user is dealing with someone with regards to rehoming and has been asked for cash, please pm a mod with the details

year and a half old labrador/poodle cross looking for a home. Living with kids at the moment, very friendly, happy go lucky chappy but is "too energetic" for his owners. Well socialised and very well looked after besides the exercise issue. His coat needs regular grooming, currently he's being clipped regularly.

He is not in my care, but according to his owners, he is a great family dog despite the excess energy. Excess energy can easily be fixed with plenty of exercise. PM if interested.

    Hi all,

We have two beautiful dogs that we need to find a home for. My husband and I are moved to Oz and unfortunately can't afford to bring them with us.
    camera 085.JPG

Shadow is a Boxer/Water Spaniel cross aged 2½ and black in colour.
    Mary & Dans-1.jpg

Echo is just over a year old and is a Collie/Golden Retriever cross and is also black in colour.

Both our beautiful dogs are chipped, neutered and vaccinated. They have a very good temperament, are very good with children and other dogs. They love playing especially fetching ball, going for walks and swimming.

They are the best of friends so we would love to keep them together. Our hearts are broken to be leaving them go and we have not a clue what to do. If anyone might have any advice for us or might be interested in giving our two dogs a home please PM us, we would really appreciate any help we get.

Hi we have 2 stray kittens we sheltered along with their mom over Xmas in Dublin 10 area. They would be about 3months old now. The black short haired is female + the fluffy black+white one is male. We already have two indoor cats of our own and can't keep them.

They have been living outdoors and would need a bit of patience and love at the start to get used to you. There were three but we found a home for one and he settled right in with his new family after a week or so and is kept as an indoor cat. Here's a link to a video of them.

If you can give them a good home get in touch.

Hi Cazzart, do you still have these 2 kittens,

    Hi Anniela,

The black short-haired female is still available to a good home, the male has been homed.

You can see some photos of the female kitten here:

    I PM'd you some details.

Female cat, spayed, 3.5 years old. Small size for an adult cat, roughly 3kg, and very friendly. Craves attention, and loves playing fetch like a dog with some rolled up paper. She has been an indoor cat since she was a kitten, so is litter box trained.

Have to give her up due to current living arrangements; apartment isn't large enough, and I'm required to spend more and more time away from home at the moment, so it's not really fair on her.

Free to good home. Also have a ~5ft tall scratching post/tree available that can be taken with her.

    PM me for more info.

    Hi All,

I am posting this for a friend. She has 2 cockerspaniels looking for a home either together or separately. The male is around 10 years and the female is 4.

Jarvis (male) is neutered but not chipped. He would be best suited with a family that would give him the attention he deserves. Has some experience with younger children but has growled in the past to her, so would best suit a family with older or no children.

Jessie (female) is neutered and chipped. She is great with children and other dogs. Loves attention and walks.

They both have their full papers and full vaccinations, regularly groomed and full documents of regular obedience training etc. They are both used to cats and good with them. They are both indoor dogs.

Should anyone be interested in these 2 little guys please PM me asap. It is with much regret that they are needing to be rehomed.

Jervis is the big man in the middle and Jessie is on the right.

    Hi All

I picked up a male collie/corgi cross pup from the pound the other day. Wanted to rehome and look after the poor fella.

However my living circumstances have changed in these few days due to issues i wont go into here and am looking for someone to rehome him as i am more than likely going to have to move into a one bed apartment and it would be cruel to keep him there

Dont want to take him back to the pound as he'll more than likley be put down and he dosent deserve that. He's a lovely friendly chap but still a pup so he hasnt been neutered or fully housetrained

Which pound did you take him from as if there's a rescue group that takes dogs from there then they should be able to help you.

You're right, very high PTS rate and they won't allow any rescue in.

    Try http://animalfoundation.ie/
    http://www.celticanimallifeline.com/
http://www.dogstrust.ie/ There is a long waiting list but as he's a pup they may be able to squeeze him in sooner.

Let us know how you go.

All kittens have been rehomed (except for little gizmo, who I don't want to give to a stranger) so all I have left is the mammy cat Loney.

She's about 2 years and very friendly. She's gained alot of her weight back after the kittens.

This is a picture of her a week before she had the kittens. She looks much healthier now.
    She's a short hair speckled/striped brown cat.

Spent the day ringing and calling to shelters. No one can take him as they're all full. If i cant find a home for him by Monday i'll have to bring him back to the pound.
Its breaking my heart as the poor fella really dosent deserve it :(

Cungi; I know it's not for chat here, but you said you have to rehome the dog because you're moving to an apt. He'll manage for a few days if you can hang onto him just a bit longer. Can you post it here http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/IrishAnimalShelters

Stick a picture up and say how important it is he gets somwhere asap. Let them know if you're willing to make a donation to the shelter who takes him to cover his rehoming and give as much info as possible about his personality. He might get a foster home pretty quickly.

Failing that, just bring him up to the DSPCA (they will ask for a donation, I'm not sure how much) but they won't turn you away.

Unfortunately most places are stuffed to bursting, it's been an exceptionally bad January for stray and surrendered dogs and it's not over yet.

Get onto http://www.petsireland.invisionzone.com/ asap and post him up in the urgent section. Get a couple of nice pics and as much info about him as possible and maybe someone will be able to help you.

    .

Hence my earlier post questioning the amount of people with very few posts rehoming animals.

I just hope these people havent signed up to use boards.ie to rehome their Xmas presents.

Might have to look at a minimum number of posts in the forum before anyone can use the rehoming threads.

Im quite concerned about this....too many new users advertising rehomes...

I can't believe they turned you away - did you tell them the alternative of him going to the pound? If you had found him wandering, I wonder would they have turned you away. That would turn people off picking up strays wouldn't it!

    Hi All,

My family found a female husky in west Dublin, she isn't chipped and has no tags, I have been looking after her since Christmas, however I can't keep her (as much as I want to!) so she is free to a good home.
Her name is Holly, she is house trained and has a very friendly demeanor. She is always full of energy and walks well.
When scanning for chip, the vet said she was in great health, except for some damage to her jaw, with two missing teeth (he guessed she might have been hit by a carat some stage).
    Please PM me if interested.

    Hey everyone,

Found this guy wandering around an estate in Glasnevin about 11 days ago. Caught him with great difficulty, but haven't been able to find his owner or anyone to take him in.

Took him to the vet where we established that he's an unneutered male, and very relaxed and good with people, but we didn't ask what breed or age he is, unfortunately.

We're sadly not in a position to keep him, and I'm waiting for a call back from the DSPCA to see about rehoming him, but if anybody here would like him, I think he'd make a good pet. He's mostly toilet trained (or newspaper trained, would be more accurate) and quite curious and pleasant to have around.

pictures attached. PM me! Will be bringing him to the DSPCA tomorrow if I get a call back, so let me know soon if you'd like him.
