Got the letters for all my rifles today. Extended to 31 May 2010.

Spoke to the ICPSA FCP rep and he says the new licensing guidelines won't be out for another week or 2 even though the Garda website says they are available. More efficiency from a public service;)

Got 4 of mine yesterday extended end October, 3 completely wrong. This new form will give the whole system a fresh start with good info. Spare a thought for those poor souls updating Pulse, from scratch, with probably no interest in firearms; for most of us it would be textual porn!

Nothing down my way yet. A few friends in the same boat. Apart from people on Boards, I haven't heard of anyone else getting extension letters.

Got my extension cert for my .22 rifle this morning. Extended to 31/10/09. No sign of my .22 pistol extension letter. Looks like anyone with a pistol is getting the minimum extension.

It is going on your pulse ID. If you have a perceived restricted firearm all of your certs get the shortest extension.

Got my three just now. Extended until 31/10/2009 :rolleyes:

Semi automatic shotgun, .22lr bolt action rifle and .223 bolt action rifle.

Methinks the semi auto got me in early.

Dad has a single shot .22lr and got his extended to end of Feb 2010.

No it was the same pulse number on all of them.

there was the wrong gun on one of them, one he had switched a few years ago and had his paper cert ammended.

Just had a chat with the FO on the phone. He said its pretty much a lucky dip regarding lenght of extension. Also, just in case it wasn't said already, ALL applications are "new" applications according to him. i.e. You need to submit permission letters from land owners etc.

At least thats his take on it anyway. He sounded like he is playing catch up with the messy change over.

Mine extended until 30/06/2010. Going to wait for the new SIs and get in a fresh application and see how that goes.
