Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Permanently Remove MS Games from Windows XP (w/out a cd-rom)

    Hi folks,

The time has come...I have to admit I'm addicted to Spider solitaire and need to permanently remove it from my laptop.

Slight problem, either my laptop came pre-loaded or my Windows XP cd-rom has walked, but either way I don't have the systems cd-rom.

So if anyone has any idea how to permanently and completely delete the games from my laptop...I'd be eternally grateful!!

    Thanks

    S.

    Delete this file
    c:\windows\system32\spider.exe

    Hi Random,

Thanks for the mega-swift reply! I tried that just now...and rebooted afterward. But the desktop shortcut still manages to open up the game.

    I have a feeling it's more complicated...unfortunately!:(

    go into add/remove programs.
On the taskbar on the left there is an option (remove window components)
click on it and you'll see the games folder..deselect all and hit ok.
    They're now gone.
