Does anyone have issues with trying to sleep?

Only recently in the last 2 weeks that when I start to doze off I wake up as if I have stopped breathing. It has gotten worse now in which I now am getting weird sensations going through my body normally from the chest to my head and arms.

Im 23 and I smoke, and think that maybe this is a cause of this???

I really am afraid that im having mini seizures that can/will become worse and lead to a heart attack. I know I'm probably over reacting but it's really worrying.

Sounds like you may be suffering from sleep apnoea - you should google it for more info - if you visit your gp he can refer you to a sleep clinic for tests

Sounds like a case of sleep apnea. It's only life threatening in very serious cases, it's most detrimental effects are those on your sleep. It can cause severe fragmenting of your sleep which you may not notice and this can lead to you suffering from chronic fatigue after a while. Certain things put you more at risk, it is common in people who are overweight and/or people who smoke. To be on the safe side (I'm no doctor) you should probably see your GP and see what he/she has to say.
