Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Are all Canon lenses compatible with their SLR cameras

I'm thinking of getting the Canon EOS 450D and I know that this comes with the standard Kit lens (18-55mm).

My dad has a Canon EOS20D and he has a great collection of lenses.

What I'm wondering is, are the lenses compatible with each other; it would save me having to go out and buying a zoom lens .

    Thanks

all canon EF and EF-S lenses are compatible with the eos 450d, but EF-S lenses arent compatible with the 1d and 5d range as the EF-S lenses are designed for a smaller sensor.
