    Construct your perfect eleven from the lads we have now. I have my own ideas, but I'd rather hear you guys out first. (so i don't sound like an idiot)

    Plus bench. (5 max)

    And positions, if possible.

    Bench : Dawson, Cudicini, Bale, Hudd, Keane

    That's the team I want to see starting against Liverpool if we don't buy anyone else.

    I have to admit I pretty much agree with this, The Keane/Defoe can't play together craic I never did quite believe. I think two players of their ability should be able to do well up front. I'd hate to say it but i'd say it's more Keane's faults then Defoes.

    Lets be fair though harry is going to make at least one signing before september. it's just his way.

    Think a 4-4-2 pretty much picks itself apart from who should partner who upfront. Hows about a 4-3-3 just to be different!

    Luka has to start, so if we were going 4-3-3 I would go with something like:
    Gomes

    Corluka/Hutton---Woodgate
    King
    Assou-Ekotto
    Jenas---Palacios
    Modric
    Lennon
    Defoe
    Keane


    Another alternative formation would be 3-5-2:
    Gomes
    Woodgate - Daws/Corluka - King
    Hutton
    Bale
    Jenas - Palacios - Modric
    Keane - Defoe

    The main problem with this formation is obviously there is no place for Lennon. A major problem for us is that our 4 best attacking players (Lennon, Modric, Keane, Defoe) are all vertically challenged, I guess Crouch would be a useful foil to these guys.

    Interesting. What's your reasoning behind putting Bentley into the middle?

    He doesn't have great pace for a winger, but is a very good passer and dead ball player. I (personally) would prefer him in the middle as opposed to Hudd or JJ.

    This is also only based on current panel as suggested by OP. Bentley will prob be on the move anyway.
