Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We're getting a few people sending us emails saying the same thing. We can always hook people up on the day, but easier to do it in advance. Just let us know.

I can also unleash our secret weapon for the Irish team - We have been joined by Silky. Our plan is simple - we are just going to let him knock the rest of you out. :D

    Len,

Sorry if this seems a little pointed, but there seems very little activity on boards regarding this thread for an event that was looking to deal with 900 people in city west this weekend.

I was to enter a team and have organized players to be there, but when I go on the linked site there seems to be only 30 teams or so, with only 100 or so players named.

Has this gone off the boil, or are more teams entered that are not put up anywhere, or are you hoping the crowds will just turn up?

For all other tournaments that are promoted here, there seems to be plenty of build up mentioning numbers entered etc? Why not this event?

There seems so much work gone into this regards website and initial feedback, but nothing recently which seems a shame.

I am not involved on a week to week basis in tournaments, so use here as my reference point, but this could easily be sold out and that is known on the circuit as such, but needs to be fed in here as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,924 ✭✭✭Fatboydim

If all the teams we've been promised turn up I would say there would be fifty to sixty teams. Which is down on original expectations, but would still be a field of some 300 -360 players. We could get a good deal more than that however.

  • Registered Users Posts: 539 ✭✭✭gorrrr72

Hopefully you do Len. It sounds like it's going to be a great weekend of poker and there are a lot of big names confirmed.

For anyone who wants to feel the atmosphere of a big tournament without the big buy in I would recommend you to just come along as early as you can as there will be loads of incomplete teams looking for players.

I've heard that there are quite a few planning on going that didn't register their teams yet (we just put up ours today) so it will be well worth playing.

    Hi All,

We start back at 2pm for the team event.

    Also 1 table SnG's @ €70 with 2 tickets for the €300 side event from 2pm.

Realistic figures for the tomorrows game are around 150 players may break the 200 mark with a little luck.
