Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think the friendlies are handy for the league. They can give a much needed boost to the income after the two week break in the league. They provide an oppurtunity to test some youths as well as trialists and might convert a few new fans who might be attracted to the friendly.

The foreign clubs benefit as well as they get a competitive friendly with a team who are fit and in the middle of their season.

As long as they don't conflict with the league and the club make a profit on them i think the friendlies are a good thing.

I think one first teamer featured in both of our friendlies.

Isn't there a rumour that a big EPL side may still make it here to bail-out play a premier club this summer.

On the whole, the top EPL clubs consider the Irish market to be already cornered. The 'emerging markets' (especially the far east) are where they want to be.
Apparently bohs are lining up a 'glamour' friendly for the second week of august against a top premier league side.

Creepy, Doherty, Casso and Baker all played against Leeds.

Hedderman, Daisy, MOB, Casso and Baker all played against Millwall

Few sources (including FitzGypo) are saying Liverpool.

They need an earner quickly and that should mobilize the Irish Scouse Massive anyway.

We were to play Arsenals under 7s and/or Inter Milans under 9s , guess they both knocked on the head now.
