Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes. It was Maxol. Found it there on holiday in June.
But they charged me 1.50 a can for it.
    Worth it though!

    Quick Google search:
Coca-Cola plans to relaunch Vanilla Coke in U.K.
    http://www.brandchannel.com/home/post/2013/02/11/Brand-News-021113.aspx
Coca-Cola initially stated that it had no plans to return Coca-Cola Vanilla to the United Kingdom despite high demand. Several enquiries were made throughout 2011 and 2012. Coca Cola then thought about returning Vanilla Coca-Cola to the United Kingdom sooner or later. They eventually announced that they would definitely bring the beverage back to the United Kingdom in the future, some time soon, which was predicted mid-2012, or early-2013. Coca Cola announced that the vanilla flavor would be for sale in the UK from 25 February 2013.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola_Vanilla
In the end of 2012, Coca Cola also announced that Vanilla Coca Cola will be available in the United Kingdom in 2013 with the same packaging as from 2002-2006, when it was available.

    To quote a famous song:

I just hope it's the same recipe they had over here and not the frankly rubbish American one.

Nice one, finally I can get the real stuff, instead of the American version which isn't nearly as nice.

The Spar in Cherrywood Ind Park has it, though it sells out quickly........... I swear I had nothing to do with that buying about 5-10 of them :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,572 ✭✭✭Canard

There are places in Dublin that sell it but it's never cheap. Though apparently it's already back! I must go check asap. :D:D:D

While we are on the topic anyone know where you can get Club Apple???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 399 ✭✭IceFjoem

Yes, I have seen it available in Centra on Westland Row in Dublin. But be warned, there is a homeless man that awaits you upon entry, with powers of verbal abuse that are unsettling in the extreme. Do not buy his drawings.

Haven't missed it, just didn't get excited as it's almost certainly the American blend which is nowhere near as nice as the blend that used to be out here. I think someone said that a different type of sugar was used here.

I regret greatly giving up cola for lent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,572 ✭✭✭Canard

Outside the centra on Westland row atm...
    It was a lie! :(

In the states they use high-fructose corn syrup as the tax on real sugar is too high.

They're selling it at the moment in Morton's behind the Odeon on Harcourt Street (in Dublin!)

To my amazement, I saw it in Ronan's Deli in Rathfarnham yesterday. The great thing is that it tasted exactly like my homemade vanilla coke using the little bottle of vanilla extract :)

3 cherry for 1.49 in dealz

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,013 ✭✭✭✭Kintarō Hattori

I must give a more concerted effort to look for it in the immediate city centre.

Spar on Talbot Street - It wasn't there, at least on Tuesday 27/02.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 225 ✭✭SicklySweet

Cork - Wilton Shopping Center, the sweet shop around the GameStop (either next to it or a few doors down) selling 12pk of Vanilla cola for 16.95.

Damn right son, although since they brought it down to 3 cans, you're better off buying the 1.25tr bottle of cherry cola, if your Dealz stocks them.

Alright, I checked the following today and no luck :(

Tuthills just off of Dawson Street
    Londis on Grafton Street
The Asian run newsagent on Grafton Street
Bus Stop Newsagents beside St. Stephen's Green
The other Londis inbetween Grafton Street and Dawson Street

None of them had it. Tuthills had a can of the American stuff :(

I imagine stock will be hard to come by in the next few weeks at least.

Centra just off Grafton Street!! :D 1.20 a can, not too bad considering it's 1.70 in candy lab, absolute rip off. Didn't buy it because it was actually my friend who sent me the picture (I have a reputation for the stuff by now :P) and I have some at home (birthday present from other friends, also due to the reputation :pac:), but hopefully someone will enjoy it. :)

I got that today (Suffolk St Centra) but it was the American nonsense, which I have come to loathe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,572 ✭✭✭Canard

I wonder why they're all getting American ones if it was supposedly re-released here? I don't remember what it was like over here before, only tried it once or twice and in my naivety didn't like it, but I do love the American one.
