Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ive been on the "stamps" since i was made redundant. up to that point i was employed for over 11 years and its really shyte being unemployed, granted i didnt sit on my arse for the last six months, but standing in the dole office on a wednesday morning has a way of sucking the will to live right out of you.

Ive had an interview with this company 2 weeks ago, they want to see me now in 45 mins.. im pretty excited.

Its potentially the worst paying job i'll have ever held, probably not much above the min wage.. but as jobs are like hens teeth now, its a job and i just want to be working again, Necessity takes priorty over pride

    Fingers crossed :o

Thats the right attitude to have - I'd take a low paid job over no job any day. Good Luck!

I once texted my local radio station asking if anyone had a cure for hens with toothache... The presneter read it out, copped it was a prank, and went on a rant about time-wasting texts and calls.

that comment just turned my stomach, not all people on the dole are slackers . hate to break it to you but there are qualified accountants, architects and engineers with years (my fathers case 30) of experience and they are the furthest people from slackers i have ever seen, years of study to be qualified, long hours on low pay in their starting years only to be told one day their job is no longer available.
Now i do take on board that there are some people on the dole who are slackers but sweeping generalisations are unfair!!!:mad::mad::mad:

Apologies. I know that there are very intelligent people and very qualified people on the dole who have to take it.

I'm only speaking from people I know who have no work ethic and are happy to suck the country dry.

Again, I apologise if I offended you. I jumped the gun a bit.
