Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Engine cleaning

I'm thinking of giving my engine bay a good clean up and wondered what anyone might recommend, from the myriad of cleaning products on the matket. Also, I want to clean up and repaint the aluminium rocker cover and wondered about the best heat resistant paint to do the job. Its not painted at the moment, just plain aluminium and I would probably prefer to maintain this look, but wouldn't rule out putting some colour on it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

use some meguires APC ,(all purpose cleaner)
cover up electrics with some cling film ,
spay it over grimey area's , then aggitate with a brush ,
maybe a paint brush with the bristle's cut down to make it more aggresive,
then rinse with water from a hose on low pressure or just fill a watering can and use that , to rinse the APC off ,

    i wouldn't pressure wash a engine bay ,

lidl do APC but i've never used it so not to sure what its like ,
use some autosol from halfords for the chrome bits its called "Anodized Aluminium Polish"

here's my engine bay after some megs and autosol
