Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My cure for a nasty and persistent hangover, first thing I do before I even consider gettin dressed is go straight to the fridge and drink a few bottles of beer

Nando's PeriPeri Half Chicken and Chips with a bottle of Solo Lemon
go the extra hot Chilli for full effect, wakes me up and makes me feel a hell of a lot better, Breakfast of Champions

    www.nandos.com

apparently they now have stores in Ireland

Get yerselves there imediatley and procure some of their periperi ketchup

    basically 2 things work here,

1 beer to cure you of the hangover OR

hunger, trust me on this the condition of the body will override any urge if ur hungry so basuically cut out any food and it will be over FAST

a bloody mary and a big dirty fry is the best hangover cure i've found.

if you can't face food at all, or the thought of vodka, just a tomato juice will do wonders on i's own, but it's best as part of the full package.

used to live on mount street near the canal and the schoolhouse did a great fry so it was the default sunday haunt after a night of scoops.

plenty ofthings will make you feel a bit better after a hangover (and believe me, I've tried them all) but this is the only thing that totally fixes me after a heavy session.

you truly have no idea what bad hangovers are like if salty crisps, coke, and refreshers are your answer to them? How old are you, 16?

well she did say "cure"! i just have to sweat through 2 days of horror basically if it's a proper binge. If i can face the sauna/steam room at the gym, that usually offers some relief but time is the only healer for me.

    best hangover cure i've found!

    vitamin B complex tablet
    lots of water
a decent breakfast like brown toast with a boiled egg and a banana
    panadol

vitamin B because alcohol strips it from your body - the hangover cures you buy from the chemist usually contain some of the B vitamins.

water because alcohol dehydrates you & this makes you feel like crap.

a good breakfast because you'll need something decent to boost your blood sugars to feel normal again. low blood sugar = no fun at all (some people will experience hot flushes or heart palpitations the morning after, this is low blood sugar)

    panadol for the obvious reason!

when i was younger i used to have a bottle of coke and that would make me feel ok for a while cause of the sugar in it, but when that sugar ran out it was hell again!

Drinking milk before you go out helps line your stomach. Bananas the next morning works well.

    Two different stories here.

A mate who is a pharmacutical lab technician was saying in the pub one night that alcohol depleats your sodium levels and thats the main part of your hangover. He says one of the highest sodium content things you can get is a bag of popcorn and it works wonders. Incidentally I've tried this and its class.

Secondly I used to work in a bar and the boss always ordered a drink in called aqua libra. Nobody bought it as wel didn't really sell it but it was class at getting rid of a hangover.

    Lastly.

Was on a stags last year and the best man was a GP. The day we were flying back the groom was obviously like death warmed up. He gave him two tables and within minutes he was back 100%. Got home full of life and went out for dinner with the wife to be. The wife said about halfway through dinner the colour just drained from him and she had to take him home.

Apparently the GP had give him two tables that they give to people the threat with lukemia. He brought them to get him over the trip home!!!!

Maybe thats why a lot of people recommend a fry (which would have a load of salt - sodium chloride). Popcorn is loaded with salt.

tried a Sausage & Egg McMuffin this morning when I thought I would never recover and I was immediately satisfied. That and a cigarette did it!

Stumbled across a great hangover cure today...

    - A glass of water
    - A ten minute cycle
    - A bowl of Weetabix
    - A teeth brush
    - A Shower
    - A Cup of Tea

In that order. Went from feeling like shit when I woke up at 11 to feeling great by the time I had to work at 12.

Going outside and getting some fresh air/exercise is probably a good one even if usually you feel like you're not up for it at all.

Sports dring and 2 paracetamol before bed.
    Eggs in the morning.

If you do go for the popcorn DON'T do it the night before. The salt will dehydrate you more.

Must try that porn, it cures most other things
