    Hi All,

I work mainly with ksh currently on Solaris 10. I've been asked to look at a windows based app with a view to providing automated file based stuff (transfers, transformations etc) and scheduling.
IMO, unix tools are best for this AND I am not as competent with windows and would be unsure as to whether it can deliver what is required.

My question is whether there is an emulator type solution that can run on a windows server while interacting with the windows file system and delivering unix capability.

    ta,
    K
