    hi just wondering what is the average cost of getting a greyhound + training and boarding costs thanks - james

    Cost of getting one varies from a feww hundred to a few thousand. You could try to get one that is already racing with some ability for again a few thousand.

    Training costs vary from trainer to trainer. Some will do a deal on a prizemoney basis - that way is much better at least you know they are trying to get the dog to the races.

    It really depends on who you go to, but i'd say you would want 2-3000 to begin with that should take care of any purchase and associated vet costs UNTIL the dog gets to the races.

    It can be done Cheaper . You can get dogs cheap enough, pay 50euro all in and the prize money will go into your bank once you set it up. Its upto you what you spend on a dog .
