Right, there are lots and lots of cool, interesting and informative motors related videos out there. I propose this thread be somewhat like the "Here's what I saw today thread" only with videos instead of pictures...

And if I tried that today through Dublin at 4am, a hundred boardsies would call me a moron. Even if there is something oddly appealing about hammering down the quays at 100mph plus.

Start in Tallaght maybe, Finish at the Papal Cross in the Pheonix park..... sounds like fun.

Well ahead of you boss. Have the route all planned out. If I ever get the "you've got six months to live" then I would be tempted. Around dawn Christmas day. Great film that one. Yea OK so it was a merc and it's been worked out he rarely did more than 60, but it still looks amazing. And dubbed or not I love the older Ferrari sound. Columbo V12. Ahhhhh when engines sounded delicate and powerful all at the same time. Ripping calico and all that.

This isn't bad. Pity it's inside the car. Just so mechanical 60's Ferrari 250LM

And for a 1.8 four pot, this ain't too bad. I am a little biased of course.

I love the guys feet. Doin the full Mick Flatley there.

Funny I always prefered the high revving screamers, rather than the rumbling V8ish sound. Dunno why. The only large rumbling sound I like is from a merlin engine, but that sound just goes without saying really.

Get this in a car and I'd sell a major organ to drive it.:D It's a sound you feel as much as hear.

Now, the car to use?

I for one would be rather partial to using a Nissan GTR for it..... or perhaps a Holden V8, if I could import one. Something that can accelerate Hard

After he pulls away from the traffic lights first, and drifts the corner - the way the steering wheel spins about, and self-cancels, that's my favorite bit - especially since that *actually works*, shockingly!

Sammy Miller's Rocket Car in Zandvoort - Acceleration is psychotic to say the least. I'm not a fan of drag racing in anyway but you've got to admire the cajones of the man in the cockpit.
