Boards.ie FIFA 09 Season 5 Qualifying League - Results

Ok, I've set up the qualifying league and sent out a PM with all the details you need to know. If you want to post up results here, fire ahead.....

It'll start from from 6pm 24 July to August 31st.... thats roughly 5 weeks. Don't play any games before this, as it gives people time to join up. Pick any team you like. Teams are not unique. You play everyone once. General Boards League rules applies, 7 mins per half, no dirty last man tackles from behind, no quitting, no acting the twat generally, etc.

The only thing that differs from the real league here, is that if you lose your connection, you lose the game. End of story.Only a certain number will go through to the main league (not necessarily based on how high your placed either), because we can't have arse loads of new players in the main league.

Try to get all your fixtures done in the 5 weeks. You only have to play each other once.

I have already received one quetion, so I will repeat my answer here. I appointed Richie to run the qualifying league. This is the qualifying league into the OFFICIAL boards league that has been running for 4 seasons.

Richie will have complete control of everything.

but just in case I do get in.. i'm a utd supporter, on every football game I've played I've played as utd but I understand there is a bit of bitterness in football land about **** picking the best team in the game in leagues and such so I'd just like a clarification on that.. is it considered bad form?

i was gona try get a few games out of the way today, but for some ****ing reason whenever I plug my xbox lan cable in to the computer my desktop tries to use it to go online.. when it's supposed to be the xbox that's using my desktop to go online.

it was working perfectly a few days ago, i havent turned the xbox on since then.. and the only thnig i've changed about my computer is the case. So i dont know how long its gona be before i have this fixed because I haven't a ****ing clue what the problem is

Feel a bit hard done by there and missed too many chances than I should have and conceded in injury time before missing a header that should have gone in. My own fault really though but a fun game

Dont worry I got Brimmy with a late one. He was all over me though. Some shot by Henry. Dropped my controller on the ground, and left button is broken, so going down now to buy a new one. My sixth - seventh controller since January

Ha I wouldn't honestly mind but the first goal came through my keeper when I wanted to bring him out to clear it he did a through pass instead of a long pass right into Eto

Lost 3-2 there to CompleteCronos. Good game with Lyon just being completely out muscled by Drogba in particular. Took a while to get settled and by the time I had it was 3-0. Pulled back to 2 but could just not get the ball by Cech with loads of shots that would not just go in. Got lucky with a few saves myself though and could have gone either way really. Good game
