Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Some photographs from the Newcastle United VS Shamrock Rovers game on Saturday 11 of July 2009.

My SLR is away getting fixed with Canon at the moment, so my Fuji S5800 filled in for this game. Let me know what you all think please, and any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

lol! I had no clue Newcastle were playing and I only live around the corner!!

Nay too shabby, first thing I noticed though is a few of them are tilted pretty badly!

To be blunt they're all pretty much out of focus.
Most of them has the wrong angle on the players as their backs are to you.
Most need cropping and also there is too much going on in the background, no isolation, you either need a dearer lens or too shoot more at a lower f number such as 2.8.

He said he was using a bridge Fuji camera, you will never get the narrow dof from the smaller sensors.

For what you had it not too bad, bit more sharpening and they will be grand. Seen worse in the papers..
