    I was banned from AH for an admittedly offense comment.
    Can this ban be lifted?
    The mod, who has been helpful thus far, directed me here to appeal the ban.

    If you're admitting it's offensive, then why would we overturn the ban?

    Can you give us a reason why we would want that kind of content posted on our site?

    The comment arose from a discussion i had with some colleagues over drinks. It was found to be offensive at the time but it lead to an interesting discussion so i thought i'd post it here.

    they are my words but misrepresent my intention. i wanted to discuss the issue, not cause this reaction.
    the other thread i started was referring to The Angelus on RTE, again i knew people would have a different opinion but i wanted to discuss my side.

    Is there a way to lift the ban?

    How can i get my ban lifted? I enjoy AH more than anything else on boards and wish to contribute.

    Well that would be up to the Mod that banned you.

    The problem is, that if they did unban you, you're going to have to be on best behaviour in the forum in the future. Second chances don't become third ones..

    Ban lifted.
    Any further "posting for a reaction" will see the ban re-instated.
