Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Car rental for drivers under 25

I was going to put this in the travel forum but thought I'd get a better response here.

Basically, I'd like to know if any car rental companies exist that don't have a surcharge for drivers under 25. I'm looking to rent a car for about 10 days in the south of France and the companies I've tried so far are quoting me €500 - €600 (about double the price for a driver over 25).

I'm 23 and Ive had a licence for three years with no claims, if any of that matters. Whether or not we go is pretty much dependent on being able to rent a car so I really need to establish if it's going to be affordable.

    Any advice appreciated.

Rented a car a couple of times (in the US) with my friends while we were under 25 and I couldn't find any way around it, just had to pay the surcharge. Which sucks, because now I'm 24 and I have to pay the same surcharge as I did 3 years ago, if I want to get a car on holidays. If you find a company that doesn't charge, please let me know!
