Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Manu and Robinho in squad for final

Emmanuel Adebayor and Robinho are both set to play some part in tomorrow’s final of the Vodacom Challenge against the Kaizer Chiefs.

But Carlos Tevez will not feature in the contest that can be seen exclusively live on mcfc.co.uk from 1.30pm (kick-off 2pm).

Argentine ace Tevez is struggling with a heel injury and boss Mark Hughes confirmed this afternoon that he would not be risked.

“It is a shame for him, for us and for the South African public but unfortunately these things happen,” declared the manager.

“Carlos has had a continual problem with his heel and we had it checked yesterday. He is probably going to miss a week of training.”

There are no such problems with Adebayor or Robinho although the Brazilian star arrived only a couple of days ago following his honeymoon.

“We have checked Emmanuel out and he has looked good so far, his fitness levels are fine and he could play a significant part tomorrow,” concluded the manager.

City will be looking for a second win over the Chiefs after the 1-0 success on Tuesday night when Stephen Ireland scored the goal. The Chiefs qualified for the decider by getting the better of the Orlando Pirates in a penalty shoot out on Thursday.

Be good to get a first look at Adebayor in blue. Should be a strong side put out.

Cheers for that, it seems Panathinaikos is on the steam at the moment before the City game.

I am struggling with the high res, but lo-res is very good too.

Pity no Stephen Ireland on show.

Its all been Kaiser Chiefs so far.

Fairly obvious handball as well for the goal. Even the commentator admitted it.
