Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A local scrappage dealer has a 2003 corsa for sale. it's been hit at the front headlight and has been repaired. i took it out for a short drive and the temperature hand shot up to half way straight away and when the car stopped it went down again, my question is is this normal? any help greatly appreciated!

Well it would be normal if the owner had it running before you came. That in itself might be a negative sign.

It wasn't running before I drove it. I'm really tempted to buy it but don't want the temperature dial to signal some serious underlying problem?? :o

I would not be too worried if it only went half way up. A lot will go 3/4 up and then fall back as the thermostat opens and will then sit at about 90-92.

How far did you drive it?

I didn't drive it far, about 500 metres or so.

I assume the temperature gauge on a Corsa only works with the ignition on. If so, the car was already warm when you drove it.
