I've got quotes for lining a chimney with the insulated flexi coil. Seems a ridiculous price to me c2,500 / chimney. So I'm going to try it out myself. The only thing I'm unsure of is the flue gatherer to put in over the fireplace. Can anyone post a link to one and an insitu drawing. I'll be using an 8" flue

Basically this is for an open fire. I will be using some solid fuel. It's not like a stove where I'd connect up directly.

    on the project in hand:
1 why are u doing it?
2: what is plan B if the insulated flue gets stuck midway down and the pulling gear breaks off?
3: believe me, if it sticks or unravels. < oiche maith by2>

ps: re your thread title: b.ie does not "do" advice
