Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The seal between the water cooling system and the oil broke and i was greeted to oil bubbling out of the water coolant tank!

Not the best looking in the world but does anyone know if this is a common problem on this car? (MK V 1.8 TD) I was told it was on VW's.

Anybody any ideas on price to fix it?

    Thanks in advance

Update for anyone that finds them self in the same situation!

Oil cooler had packed in. Seal went and oil mixed in.

    Part was €280.

Also got back brakes (drum) done and oil change and new coolant :)

Water coolant still looks a bit oily but was flushed a few times and radiator

was taken off to remove as much as possible.
