Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Swapped my 07 Astra Sporthatch van, 1.3TD with 62,000km... for an 07 Corsa 1.2petrol car with 16,000km during the week.

Both cars are very clean, with similar specs. I needed something with seats and couldn't provide a vat reciept, he wanted a van and something that could pull a small trailer and didn't need a vat reciept.

I honestly think both parties did well out of the swap given each others' situation and the "current economic climate" (snore). Just wondering what the experts think....

    Win win situation :)

The good thing about swaps is that both both parties are getting something that they prefer / works out better for them and neither party has to pay any cash to do so!

must ad that asking realistic prices of both cars on carzone, cbg etc are pretty similar.

Comparing asking prices (realistic or not) isn't even all that relevant in a swap. The way the market is, it is very hard to sell any car, even at seemingly very low prices. What is relevant in a swap is that both parties feel better off after :)
