Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi folks

maybe somebody could help me , I have my NCT in the next few days , I have started to get my car in order ( 00 BMW 316I ) replacing tyres etc

i replaced my window wipers as the old ones scratched my front windscreen the scratches are deep but you can still see out the window fine

I am just wondering is there any way of getting rid of semi circle scratches ( 2 of them ) or do i have to replace the whole front windscreen before the nct test

I went to auto glass and surprise surprise they suggust i replace the windscreen ,

    has anybody had this problem

    cheers sarah

Not going to be easy if the scratches are bad, you would need a proper abrasive glass polish.

Did the metal of the wipers actually touch the glass and mark it or is it just staining from the sweep of the wipers?

For a tenner outlay you could try autoglym glass polish, it's one of their few products I would recommend, apply with a cloth and work in well. You might get some improvement.

There was a company in Liffey Valley car park all this week fixing windscreens for free.
Might be worth a call to the Shopping centre to see if he's there again next week or even how to get in contact with him.
    Good luck with the NCT
