Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Took a tour of out around the workplace today and spotted these little wonders. I now love dragonflies. They are majestic creatures and are more like small birds rather than insects.

    Amazing Creatures, and very well taken shots. I just checked my Dragonfly ID books. This looks like a male Emperor Dragonfly. Found along the coast of Ireland from Wicklow to Cork.

    Absolutely beautiful, would love to have had a true macro lense with me sooner the better i save and get one.i thiink i did ok ish for 300mm handheld??

    You did very well for handheld. I usually use a bamboo stick clasped tight between my left hand and the camera. Makes a world of difference.

    IMO you only need a macro lense if you are planning on shooting 1:1 (lifesize) or closer. Otherwise, I've had some excellent results with my 70-200mm f4 and a D500 filter for closeup shots.
