Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

is it just me or does kodak B&w 400cn have a slight sepia tinge to it?

It does yeah and it varies on different places you get it done too. I found that I'd be playing around with the tones as much as I would be in converting colour to B+W. It is handt in that it can be processed in regular shops but it really does lack the B+W photo experience you'd have with a more professional grade.

I recognised that shot was ours before i looked at the user name. You've definitely got a distinct style

Well I'm probably one of the few here who revels in 'Street' photography!

Good to know it's kinda distinctive:)

It's not that Keps. There are a lot doing street. I think it's your colour and composition. I'd even go as far to say that it may well be something you're unaware of. But it ia really distintive. I noticed that Istanbul pic of yours as yours without seeing the sig. Excellent style, very distinctive.

You need to copy the image url and not the actual page url. It will be under the pic after you click "all sizes"

Last try tonight....still wondering how you got that "farm3.static.flickr etc" Longshanks.
I did'nt have that in my flickr address for that photo so I'm puzzled as to how you got it.

    Anyways....here goes again

You linked to your flickr page in one of the earlier attempts. Try the above again but use these [ and ] instead of < >

Your going to hate me now - but one of the rules around here is that the image must be a max of 800 pixels. You need to be selecting one of the slightly smaller sizes on flickr

BTW, there's a "Preview Post" button beside the "Submit" button. Found it quite handy for finding out if tricky things work how they're supposed to before really going public.

thanks landyman. canada. three week holiday. amazing place. banff, jasper, vancouver island and vancouver. very sad to have to come home:( but happy looking back over my photos that i've made a lot of progress on last years holiday snaps (many pre 6 am mornings and lugging a full bag of gear and lenses+tripod up mountains was involved though - something i wouldn't have been interested enough to do a few years ago).

couldn't recommend the place enough. am off to yosemite in october - i now chose my holidays based on photography as opposed to just bringing a camera along when i go on holidays:eek:

If you really want help with your images you're better of starting a new thread, adding 2 or 3 images and asking for C&C (you'll find people on here very helpful) but seeing as you asked: I personally don't like selective colour unless it really adds something to a shot! And for most wildlife stuff it's better to get the animal looking into the lens, gives more of a sense of connection. :)

Cheers Crispin, kind of new to all this so I'll get some practice and upload a few shots. That's the first thing I learned so I was quite proud of it :p
