Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

whenever artifical light is involved with digital photography the camera has trouble with auto white balance, the colors can shift all over the place

the green in my monkey photo is from mint leaves in crushed ice light up by a small candle

the orange light on the rocks in the ocean is from a low setting sun breaking thru clouds with the right balance of gases in the atmosphere at that particular time!

*edit, I read that wrong. if you use a small aperture and long exposure(2seconds or more) at night with bright lights you can draw lines with them by moving/shaking the camera around

onlookers watch the homeless dancing: half amused by her half intimidated by the male drunks who were antagonising tourists:
Welcome to Temple Bar the Tourist Centre of Dublin

Taken when out playing around with a 1966 Minolta Hi-matic 7S. A very confusing camera, I gave up trying to use it on manual and used the auto mode, with only 125 ISO film in the fading evening light the shutter speeds dropped to give the above effect. After getting home I notice a lot of fungus on the inside of the lens ... so this might explain some of the softness. Still not bad. I have since cleaned the lens and will see how sharp it is another day, after i read the manual and figure out how to use it in manual mode!

A pic my son took with his Nokia N95 while in Wexford earlier this year.
When we were looking through them we came across this one which we thought was quite amusing.
Original pic was going to be a general shot of people on a street.
But when we spotted the guy on the phone standing under the shop name we laughed :D

I'll admit I didn't really enjoy the gig as I felt out of place/old/soberish.
It was held in Kilcoole scout hut, not my really my type of music (although its not bad) but I had to be at their last gig, others have said it was the best gig they've been too in years.
Then again I'm just back from my Biggest festival in years so it was bound to feel much much different.
