Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    A lizard i'm babysitting for a while

After as much sharpening as possible,I've figured out this lens isn't sharp enough when focusing on close objects!

tried shortening the focus distance with some close-up filters?

    Hi Richard
A sharp image is as much about technique as it is quality of glass. What have you tried technique wise?

Techniques I tried,Manual focus, balancing on the ground as tripod was to small,Didn't need to change shutter speed of ISO as he can stay very very still,The lens it's self is a sigma 20-40 f/2.8,The photo was shot at f/2.8 and a good bit closer than the minimum focusing distance :pac:

Did you try dropping the aperture down a bit. f8 to f11. If you really want ultra sharp images, Place camera on a tripod, set ISO to 100. Put the camera mode in to TV. Set Exposure compensation to about -2. Try and get the Aperture to about f8 and pop it with a diffused flash compensated down -2/3. :0

Try it. See how it goes.

Ps: Actually, thats how I got the image above. Except I didn't use a tripod.
