Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I want to put 17inch RS6 wheels on a 1.4L VW Beetle. The standard wheel size that comes with the car is 195x65xR15. As it’s a small engine car will the 17’s be too big and cause problems for it??

    regards

I'd say they'll probably fit, but likely to wreck the clutch.

Had an Ibiza 1.2 a few years ago that was running 17" TSW wheels. Handled well but wasn't the quickest. Thankfully it didn't do much mileage so didn't have any clutch issues.

Not sure what original wheel size was supposed to be on the car but it was probably 14" or 15"

You'll only need to keep the overall diameter the same i.e 205/50 17 tyres...but check the offset too to make sure they wont rub on anything....best to trial fit a wheel and tyre front and back to be sure,
