    guys whats the difference between the 2?

    im just about to buy a mini HD camcorder and want a 16gb SD card for it, but dont know which to choose.

    both are same price here

    The 'HC' refers to High Capacity, any SD card with more than 4GB is by definition SDHC so if the card has 16GB capacity then it doesn't matter if it mentions SDHC or SD, it is SDHC and can't be anything else.

    As sugarman says, check the specs. for your camera to make sure that it supports SDHC, otherwise the 16GB card won't work regardless of whether it has 'SDHC' printed on the label or not.

    The SD and SDHC standards overlap at 4GB, SDHC goes up to 32GB and the new SDXC (eXtended Capacity) standard will take the format up to 2TB.
