    Hi,

We're hoping to do the east coast of Australia starting around early October. We're hoping to do Cairns to Sydney by campervan.

First question: any advice on campervan companies?

Second question: how long would one recommend for Cairns to Sydney by campervan?

Third question: we want to carry on from Sydney to Melbourne via Canberra (to meet a friend) and onto Melbourne and Adelaide. Is it best to hold onto the campervan for this or do it by bus?

Bonus question! Any advice on getting from Adelaide to Uluru and back to Sydney (airlines etc.)?

Well verbal, the first thing to consider is how long your going to be in the east coast for, as sometimes your better off buying a cheap vehicle. If your planning on being over 6weeks on the east coast, then your far better off buying, particularly if theres a few of ye. I have yet to drive up to cairns but i'm well familiar with the Hume highway which runs from Melbourne to Sydney and is 860k's of a drive. A diversion to Canberra can add anything up to 300k's on this at least.

www.travellers-autbarn.com - offers campervan purchases from $2500 with somesort of buyback deal. They have on their website some info on the Cairns road trip.

    happy travels!
