Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi everyone,
I've been trying to dban my Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA2. I've never has a problem dbanning a hdd before. I keep getting an error this. I went to the WD website and used there scanner to see if there were any issues with the drive, and there were none. Eventually I just decided to do a fresh install of windows 7. However, I am looking into upgrading my hdd and want to dban this one before selling it or putting it in RAID.

    Anyone have any ideas? Cheers!

You don't have one of the known problems at the top of the page here do you? Core Duo problem maybe?

There's a support forum for it here http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=208932 might be worth checking it out.

Only problems I've had with dban is the disk drive not booting up dban; I haven't seen it throw any errors so can't really help that much.

Try the pre-release version 2.0.0 and see how it goes.
