Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    3-2 FT.

Pat's go through! Wonder where Kdjac or whatever his name used to be is.

    Congratulations Pats.

Lets hope you get a favourable draw in the playoff round and make the group stages proper.

    Is it group stages now?!

Would be an Irish first after so long waiting.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Incredible. Possibly the best ever result an Irish team has had in Europe given they were 3-0 down with 20 minutes to play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,983 ✭✭✭Big Ears

Fantastic result, it takes real character for a team to come back like that when 3-0 in a place like Russia, and against a team in a very strong league and also in season.

Full credit to Pats, they've done the league proud.

Highlights just how important it is to not concede at home.

Nope, another round, termed the 'play-offs'. Plenty of big guns in there.

Fair play pats! Lets hope that inspires Derry!

Absolutely. You've got to win your home games and nick a goal away from home to have any chance. A bit of luck along the way helps too :D.

    Who are the possible opponents?

When is the draw and is it seeded to protect the "bigger" clubs or is it a random draw?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,470 ✭✭✭TheBigLebowski

Absolutely delighted for Pats. Unbelievable stuff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

As far as I know, the draw for the next round is tomorrow. Here are the list of teams competing.

4th Qualifying Round August involving 74 teams:
35 winners from the 3th qualifying round
15 cup winners from countries ranked 1-15
    3 third-placed teams from countries ranked 7-9
    3 fourth-placed teams from countries ranked 4-6
    3 fifth-placed teams from countries ranked 1-3
15 teams eliminated in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League

It was a great achivement to get this far, but I can't see them beating a team that's even better than the last Russian outfit.

"St Pat's will now be entered in tomorrow's final qualifying round draw where they could be paired against the likes of Everton, Aston Villa, Villarreal, Valencia and Ajax."
