Hello all, I'm looking for some help.
There are a group of us (approx 10 lads) that are heading to galway city for a weekend in september, and we are having some difficulty finding stuff to do on the saturday. We cant seem to find anything like karting or paintballing or the likes, anywhere near the city.
Could anyone kindly recommend something for us?
    Many thanks, in advance.
    Jim.

There's Pure Skill out in Knocknacarra just outside the city. About 10 minutes of a drive. They have batting cages for hurling and baseball, basketball hoops, virtual golf etc. it's good craic

There's Go Karting out near Oranmore...that's about another 10 minutes out the other side of the city.

Bowling Alley on the Headford Road, which is in the city.

2 Cinemas in the city. Headford Road and WellPark.

Theres a museum that is pretty crap near the Spanish Arch

Other than those it's just pubs and clubs. There's a strip club on Dominick Street, Snooker and Pool Hall (does poker tournaments aswell) on Eglington Street, Loads of Amusement/Casinos out in Salthill. And pubs and Night clubs around town. Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply! I cannot seem to find a listing for the karting in oranmore. The number on a few old sites is now for a home store called sliders or something. Is it defo still open?
    Many thanks again.

There's the Corrib Tackle airsoft shooting range in Liosban, never been there but might be worth a look

http://www.pallaskarting.com/ is a great outdoor gokart track it uses bigger karts and the track is fairly big, it's on the expensive side but great craic.

Other than that your options are limited, Galways a drinkin' town. If you like drinkin you'll be well provided for.
