Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I haven't been in one to see, but will be checking tomorrow. It looks like a very good deal.

Maybe there have been issues with these devices?

Thanks OP, missed these the last time.
Cornelscourt still had a similar quantity to your pic when I was there.

The drive is a little bigger than a WD passport and doesn't feel as sturdy, but good buy at that price :)

Anyone know if it's compatible with apple mac OSX? Doesn't say so in the specs but that doesn't always tell the full story.

Doesnt seem like a great deal to me, well especially considering the last deal was €40 for a 320gb drive

Thanks Howard. They had 7 left in Cornelscourt at lunchtime today. We cleared them out (unless they bring out more later on).

    Cheers,

    There was none in Donaghmede.

Checked a branch in Galway the Terryland branch to be exact and the hard drives weren't reduced!:(

I was in Cornelscourt at 1pm and they were all gone. Manager didn't think they'd be getting any more - that branch is moving away from computers/TVs etc.

The Dunnes in Donaghmede didnt have any tv's,laptops or dvd players on display either which I thought was a bit weird!

3.5" 1TB for €89 in Dungarvan Easons sounds better to me, 21 on display when I counted them yesterday.

Yeah they have a load of these left in Cork City.
    Bought a 500gb as I don't need a 1tb today. Works great.

The shelves in that picture are a horrible mess(price labels refer to products that aren't there, the products are in a heap, there's no line between different prducts), a disgrace to the manager.

They must have sold them after I was there friday morning..

You can get a verbatim 1tb external hdd for €90 in the small computer shop near enough to argos in cork city.. can't remember the name of it though.

Loads of 500 Gb, about 6-7 I'd say. The shop is in Castle Street but its name escapes me too.

My 1Tb drive bought in Easons at the weekend has now just got the tick of death from the read heads. Guess where its going.... This is very disapointing, less that four days it lasted, and it never even got and data written to it!

    Pathetic

Oh believe me I will, they will be refunding me it total as they have none left in that store. Do Seagates normally have problems>

Got mine a month back in the Dunarvan store (they still have 20+) and a couple of mates also have them and no problems so its one of those bad luck things :(. Bought a Indeset cooker last week bnib but it didn't work, took it back to B&Q and got a repalcement which worked fine, but I find more and more new stuff doesn't work out of the box and getting a replacement is all to common no matter the product.

btw you can also get that tick of death if the PSU is screwed.

Hmm just tried another PSU I had and nope it's FUBARED

I lost everything on a Seagate 500GB Ext HD in the past when it failed, & would never buy one again. Give a dog a bad name etc, but I wont get burned again.

Love the WD My Passport Elite 500GB I just bought however.

    Any HD can fail.
Some are better quality than others, but at the end of the day any HD can fail.

Exchanged my dead 1 Tb drive today, no problems.

FYI They have them in stock again in Easons Patrick Street Cork, get them in every few days is what I was told. Here's hoping this one lasts longer than 4 days.
