Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi I re-installed Vista and now i got a problem with the NIC card ?

    says it can't regognise the drivers ?

    I had vista installed and f**cked up the partitions with UBUNTU,
    now the net still works with UBUNTU ... but not with Vista,

    should i re install the drivers from the motherboard CD ??

    this didn't happen the 1st time i installed vista ...

    I'll post the exact error message later and perhaps a screenshot ... the self repair doesn't fix it ...

    Can you check if there are drivers installed for the lan connection but malfunctioning?

    OK fixed!!!

    I re installed the drivers and now the final step is to recover
    my lost photos / downloads ... can anyone recommend a good (preferably) free recovery tool ??

    ok so recuva got most stuff back ... but the performance of the PC is
    terrible ....

    i7 processor 6gb RAM ... before it played HD movies 1080p perfectly
    now it plays them jerky with the colour all wrong, it can't even play standard
    DVDs well (using VLC player...)

    -- hmm i see the graphics card is not seen ... reinstalling the drivers .. should help ..

    weird ... that seems to have fixed it ....

    DVDs and 1080P movies are fine now ...

    but you would think that the i7 + 6gb ram would be enough ..certainly to play a father ted DVD !!!
