    Thanks Bobby for those happy days of summer Italia 1990. When Lineker was top scorer and you took a gamble on Gazza and he ended up being the best player at the tournament. It was the summer when Tottenham Hotspur took on the world and almost did it...

    I will always remember that summer, happy memories, which ultimately ended in tears for everyone, but as a Spurs fan I will never forget...

    Bobby was a big part of that summer for me. RIP.

    A very sad day to be a fan of football, Bobby was a true legend and one of the few men still in the game who commanded universal respect. The world of football will be a poorer place for his absence.

    Very sad to see. RIP to a true football gent.
    Great story about Bobby and his notorious habit of forgetting players names ;

    Reporter - "What is you nick-name at the club"
    Shola Ameobi - "I dont have one"

    Reporter - "You must have one, every footballer does"
    Shola Ameobi - "I don't"

    Reporter - "What does the gaffer Mr. Robson call you"
    Shola Ameobi - "Carl Cort"
