Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    pardon my ignorance but is it possible to download and install an operating system such as vista over windows 2000

    Microsoft have a store for purchasing and downloading Vista upgrade version at
    http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/Microsoft/Windows/Windows-Vista

    It's more expensive than buying the DVD from elara.ie.

    Otherwise, if this is a work machine for a large company, your IT department might have software assurance licensing allowing them to download from Microsoft.

    There are other legal options for people with MSDN or Technet subscriptions for specific purposes, but based on your boards name, I guess that is not applicable.

    if the pc came with windows 2000 on it then it might run xp

    a lot of people want to upgrade from 2000 to xp or vista, because they have used a fast xp and vista machine and want to have the same, but if you put xp on a win2k machine it will be almost useless, and vista will fail to install as it checks the speed


    youtube is jerky unless you have over 1ghz processor, boards is very slow on my 600mhz p3 laptop (takes about 30secs to change page)
