You could always try to replace your GTi with a R32 diesel :) That would have even more kick, the same space and well .. it might be bad for the budget though, but it would be cheaper on fuel and better mpg.

You obviously don't know your cars too well!

I saw a R32 the other day, that was diesel, but when I questioned it, it was just a R32 makeup with a 2.0 TDi engine at 170 bhp.

sure i have seen plenty of Micra 'Turbos', VW Polo Kompressors and TypeR almeras !!

I test drove the 09 A4 Avant and the decision has been made, Keeping the GTI and next year I will just buy a second cheaper practical motor!!!!

    Best of both worlds !

..ironically, I know someone looking for 170 Golf Diesel - DSG would be a plus, but, snag is, it HAS to be a 3-door, and needs a VAT receipt.

Not proving as easy to find as he thought...........UK ones are going up in price, and they aren't half so 'haggleable' as here........

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

and they have now stopped making R32's in their entirity (ie. petrol r32's)

They actually have an R20 due for release next year. It looks incredibly good imo. 2.0 litre turbo engine giving out 270hp, AWD similar to the R32. Same engine that's in the Audi TTS.

Yummy. I reckon it'll come in around the 46k-50k mark.

Maybe the OP could start saving. :pac:

Big, automatic, diesel, 4X4, will fit your buggy no problem, and you'll save a few quid.

Here. Hard to believe they're 4X4, but they are.

I think there's also a 4X4 version with the 2.0L Turbo engine from the Celica/MR2.

Tried that. Stole the kids savings, got langered, shagged her sister, came home three days later but she only went and forgave me.
