Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He'd cost more than a bag of peanuts, therefore he's out of our price range!

I liked the look of Džeko last night (good feet and a tall striker who can actually head a ball - I swear that's not a dig at Bender ) and if it's true that we inquired about him in the last transfer window then I'd like to see us bid for him in January.

I came in here with the intention of posting that. I'd love to see Dzeko and Matuidi acquired in Janurary.

I loved the bit when henry came out saying he had lost all respect for adebayor.

Aw man that's class, say it'll be a great experience for your first match!:pac:

Just a completely random thought(possibly cos i've been drinking), but would folk be up for picking a match at the emirates(maybe a lower team would be easier) and making it a boards day out where we head over and meet up for a few pints before going to said match?

Sounds like a good idea, dunno if I can afford it, but a good idea nonetheless!

Indeed but surely we can muster €24m after all our sales! Ah no, its wishful thinking and won't happen - to be fair we are well stocked for forwards but I'd love to see someone like Vela playing off the shoulder of a big man like Dzeko.

Anyway, Allardyce will likely park the bus tomorrow I'd say. Could be a frustrating afternoon.

Oh and to the London match meet up - I'd reckon a Carling Cup/FA Cup 3rd round match would be cheapest and easiest to get tickets for.

    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/-club-form-will-help-walcott-england-bid-

I reckon he'll get 15 minutes at the end today.

Aswell I think the 4-3-3 is going to suit Walcott more than the 4-4-2 did

  • Registered Users Posts: 101 ✭✭RedivideR

so AW is going with Rosicky again today, with walcott on the bench. hope he gets a run out...

but sadly no room for Vela on the bench (sorry Frisbee!) and also what is with Silvestre still making the bench ahead of Senderos?

We may be behind but we're definitely the better side. I'm just worried that we won't take our chances and Blackburn will get another to seal the deal.

I think a boards Gooners match would be a great idea.
However, before we do that we should probably organise an official session or two (meet up at pub, watch game, get to know each other etc.).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,397 ✭✭✭yahoo_moe

Awesome performance from Fabregas today - a goal, 4 assists, another good shot on target, a header off the bar and two other almost-assists for Diaby and Van Persie. One of the best performances I think I've ever seen from an Arsenal player - and that's not a 'heat of the moment' thing.

Him + Rosicky + Arshavin + Van Persie really is very very tasty.

Great to see Theo back too, plus Ramsey played well when he came on.

PS It should really have been 3-3 with the penno (don't know how it wasn't given) but I think we'd plenty too much for Blackburn today so reckon we'd have won it anyway.

Great win today, delighted to see Walcott grab a goal. Interesting to note that while we've scored more than ever, we've also conceded more than ever at this stage!

Fabregas was awesome but it shouldn't go unnoticed what a fit Rosicky does for this team.

Fab seems much better as the more advanced of a midfield three rather than a midfield two. Think Rosicky takes a lot of the pressure off him as regards moving the ball from the defence/Song to the attackers.

Such a shame we lost both those games in Manchester, especially the United one as we were clearly the better team. Still, it's hard not to be happy with how things are going.

Utd and Liverpool looking far from solid. Chelsea looking like they will also drop some points plus they're in a bit of bother when the African nations swings around.

We obviously still look like we could always conceed a goal but jesus are we going to score a lot this year.

It may be the most goals we've conceded so far, but we have the best goal difference in the Premier League with a game in hand to improve upon that. :D
It's a shame we came away from both trips to Manchester with no points as everyone and their dog knows we deserved at least a point from both games.
What impresses me most about our many goals this season is that they are coming from players all overthe park; defenders, wingers, central midfielders and strikers. It's a great advantage not having to rely on a superstar striker for the lion's share of the team's goals.
We'll win this league yet I tells ya!

Interestingly, we hit the woodwork again today. I'm pretty sure that's at least one shot to hit the bar in EVERY game this season. Can anyone verify this for me?

The commentators said he arrived in London too late to get to the Arsenal game iirc as they knew people would be asking that exact question.

Well, I would have though watching a match onTV in abar would have been the obvious choice? I don't think there are many other Arsenal orientated activities inthis country.

Just looking at Fabregas' stats. In the league he has 4 goals in 6 games and a truck load of assists. Early candidate for player of the year? :P
Also, re: Cesc's celebration. Kissing the crest. Is anyone here still happy to say he looks like he isn't bothered?

Have to say the match reminded me of Arsenal of old that even when we went behind, I always felt we would score, have not had that feeling for a few years.

he's as loyal as they come.

he's been there 7 years, when he could easily have pimped himself to Barcelona or Real anytime over the last 3 years.

he is a rare breed. enjoy him while he's there.

at some point he will go, i think most Arsenal fans will admit to that.

but he loves the club, is very happy there, and he knows he owes everything to Wenger. it's plain to see.
