    what lens did you use?

I'm guessing a 70-200 of some sort, but I couldnt see from the EXIF on your flickr.

I'm very impressed with the shots, I really dont think the lens I have (Tamron 55-200 3.5-5.6) is good and seeing your pics is giving me an extra push to think about upgrading.

http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/176339/art/sigma/70-300-mm-f4-5-6-apo-dg-a.html You can get it cheaper though, it's a nice lense for starting off but now I'm getting a bit more comfortable I want bigger and better :D

Cheers for that, hope the injury heals soon, you were going nicely. I'll look forward to trying to beat you next summer :D

Thanks for the feedback, I managed to get a pass that allowed me on the track, which may have helped with the improvement.

Actually I would love to here more from you guys/gals, so please feel free to C&C

I'm also not a 100% sure if the 3rd last photo works where the sprinters are lined up on their marks, my wife doesn't like it, I thought I did.

In the second set the angle is much lower and shots are better framed

It's my fav but I wouldn'tve cropped off so much off the top.

Better stuff on the second day alright.
I was there as well and I think I saw you lying down on the ground.
Did you get the leader of the steeplechase falling into the water hole - poor guy!

With so much going on its so easy to miss the various events.

No more action for the big guns now as they are off to Berlin for the world Champs.

I got a slightly different angle to you for Ailis in the 100m:

Yep that was me lying down.
For the steeplechase I had just moved from the perfect spot and although I did get him falling there is a stupid blue cone covering his face.
Really like your shots, fantastic pic of Gillick, Heff and mcSweeney, well done

It's a good one but personally, I would have cropped less off the top and a little more off the bottom.
