How to change PDF document to be fillable?

Hi,

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place or is a very silly question but I'd like to change a PDF form which I have so that I can complete it on my laptop. Currently it seems as if I'll have to print it and manually complete it with a pen but it's a large document and I know I'll have to make changes to it later. Any advice please?

I vbelieive you need adobe acrobat not just the free reader software.

If I were to obtain the latest version of Adobe Acrobat... (is that version 9) how much would it cost?
