A the moment Waterford is getting major changes to its road infrastructure for the better, what with the new bypass opening soon, the M9 motorway to Dublin also imminent and the Outer Ring Road complete a few years ago.:)

The N25 Ferrybank Dual Carriageway was there before any of the others were, and it must be there for quite a long time.

Can anyone remember when exactly it was built? I think it was extended westwards to Rice Bridge in the late 80s, but wasn't there a section of the DC a good bit older than that?

    Thanks!

In the mid 80s I think (hardly ever used to go over there and memory full of holes so hard to be certain)
