Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know I said that its a totally impractical bike for me, but I love the rugged no nonsense look about it too.

I think I'd love one for a Sunday play thing for I had loads of money just to spent on a 'play thing'.

Beautiful bike (guys if you haven't seen this in the flesh then trust me, its a little beaut).

    Where's the photo taken?

It is a fun play thing, as well as being my daily commute bike. :D

Photo was taken down at the Maiden's Tower, Mornington, Co. Meath.

I'd love to commute on something like this but unfortunately I have a lot of motorway miles to cover (I look forward to roundabouts and on ramps) so a work horse is all I can have. Lovely bike, is the GS gone?

No. I've kept the GS, for things like photography when I need the panniers, and the ability to ride two-up, if the Mrs ever decides to actually get on. She keeps talking about it, but hasn't done it yet.

Took a spin out to Gougane Barra today to enjoy the first proper Sunday I've had since getting the bike back. Great ride for those who haven't done it.

How did the new deflectors work for you?

They're great, worth the money. Two of the screws fell out on the top, but that's largely down to me just not tightening it enough so they came loose.

Rode for 3 hours today with a regular pair of finger-less gloves on, hands were grand throughout the day even. I'd absolutely recommend them to anyone with a Deauville, pre NT700 which has them built on.

    Looks cool.

Just to be sure, you can't automatically ride a '*scooter' on a car licence. You need to make sure that you have category 'AM' on the back of your licence with a start and end date printed alongside it. 'AM' was only an automatic entitlement after passing the 'B' test up until 2006 in Ireland.

*mopeds – engine capacity not exceeding 49cc and maximum speed of 45kph. Minimum driving age: 16

I love the road from Just before Macroom through
Ballingeary and on to Kealkill and to Glengarriff. Great road if you are not caught behind the Sunday drivers.
