Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just bought my first motorbike :)

Not sure how to post the photo so it shows as a photo rather than a link.

No, its the 300. I almost bought an ER6F but I just found it too heavy for me - I'm a small female.

How do you find the reliability of the KTM 'ceptor?

Its my third KTM and I haven't anything but love for the brand. I have a 2016 1190 Adv that I bought new from Overlanders and it just passed 17k kms without missing a beat. I've taken it touring in Europe a few times and it does two-up touring as well as high-speed scratching around mountain hairpins equally well - the pic above is from last years Croatia tour.

The 1290 SD is a recent purchase, it's just had its first service so its just been run in. It is the most insane machine I've ever ridden and I can't comment on reliability just yet - ask me again next year when I've put a few miles on it.

I've had a lot of bikes and tried most brands (except Triumph and HD) and I keep coming back to KTM for the styling, build quality and bike dynamics. If there was a decent dealer network for KTM I'd probably buy newer models more regularly.

Yeah, I'm a big orange fan-boy - hope that answers your question? :)

I'm stuck reviewing technical specifications at a desk in an office, looking out at the clouds and wishing I was back there. No filters, no photoshop, just got off the bike and took that with my phone - unreal scenery if you ever get the chance to visit.

You picked the right month for it anyway.
Can you ride it on non-traditional routes? :p

It looks like it needs a race pipe.

    I'm on the case though.
Have a worldwide search on and have a couple of leads.
UK only got 20 of these bikes so parts are scarce.
Have the race nose cone and race belly pan already.

Cleaned and detailed within an inch of its life at the week. I've put it up on donedeal for sale as I'm getting out of bikes for a while.
