    I know,I was in 2 minds between this and a zx10.
But being a mostly Honda man for most of my life, I went with this.
Not the first blade I've owned but I'm well impressed with it.
Some may say not the most exciting of the 1000 cc's but the pure ease she deals with bumps and whatever is thrown at her, makes it a very nice bike to ride.

Yeah, I know what you're saying about the track.
I saw a video before of a guy on a ninja 250R pissing all over everything else.
Still though,I think John mcGuinness holds the TT lap record on a 05 Fireblade.....I think?

That was a fully prepared Fireblade though.

My stock '06 blade is a barge compared to my '05 R6 with Ohlins suspension, brakes & steering damper, slipper clutch, tuned engine etc.

Kami, if you want to double the price of your bike and make it twice as cool, you need to make these mods :D

Cheers all. It took a while to get right - lots of saving to get the bits I wanted! Don't think I'd sell it for anything

I wanted something different to the usual brembo set up and just had to have these. The 130mm spacing on the forks means they are huge so they stand out even more. The wheels are fairly unusual too - pvm forged wheels so need a custom rear sprocket!

    such a tart - I love it :P

did you need to get custom brake lines made up?

Nah managed to bend the HEL lines onto them. Was an awkward fit!

    looks well!

    dunboynepowdercoating.com or tallaghtpowdercoating.ie

though tallaght is about twice as expensive mind you (think 180e a set of wheels)
