How is it driving around in that heat? I rented a harley in Vegas, was so hot when stuck at lights! Didn't even have a jacket.

I was straight onto the open road, didn't hang around town. In a t-shirt with no screen certainly helped. Plus my route took me from 1500ft above sea level (Phoenix) to over 6000ft above sea level so that in itself kept it nice and comfortable!

That's because Harley puts the Cat. right next to your leg\foot
Installed a new catless headpipe and the roasting of my right leg stopped

I think it's just heat of the air cooled engine rising up around you. Probably uncomfortable on any bike stopped in traffic. Well over 100 degrees F when I was there.

I am of course well aware that Harley Davidson are not the most popular of motorbike brands in Ireland. In Vietnam however they're perfect....

^^^ I miss having a bike which wheelies off the gas

Damn you DL650 Vstrom and your exceptional fuel economy otherwise you'd be gone (most boring bike I've ever owned).

This fooker does it in 3rd if you hold the throttle fully open. Was interesting trying to accelerate out of a few corners in 2nd with the thing aiming at the sky the minute you got the power down. Not fast, but very amusing!

LOL.. I actually miss the engine on that thing, it was savage and plenty of fun. Its actually worth a punt, I put over a grand €€€ into that bike before they got it.

If I remember correctly, new pads and fluids on the front. New suspension on the rear (can't remember the make), it was serviced before its due intervals, new T30's front & rear.

I'd have kept it except for two things, fuel economy and dealing with those whores in Joe Duffys.

'twas a fun bike all the same

Not bad at all...remember my first bike was an ER-5, hated it after a year had a wip to try make it go faster......but this yoke definitely looks proper

Thanks. I like the look of it too.
I am VERY VERY new to biking so still extremely nervous on the roads but hoping that will pass with time so that I can fully enjoy the greatness of riding a bike.
