Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Everyone,

Because of the current economic situation I find my hours have been cut back in work and the pay slip is a lot lighter than it used to be.

I'm now part of the moderately impoverished set.

I've an nct coming up and defiantly need four new tyres.

Is there much difference in price between one tyre centre and the next?

I'm looking for the cheapest tyres in Dublin.

I'm driving a 03, three series BMW. Which requires 18 inch low profile tyres.

    Can anyone help?

Possibly worth your while ringing this guy, based around Meath but is mobile and will meet up with you. Found him very reasonable, probably because he doesn't have the overheads of a premises-

A few months back I was in a similar situation re new tyres for NCT. I spent a whole day at work calling all the trye places in Dublin looking for the cheapest tyres. My head was spinning from all the sales spiel and technical Jargon they were plying me with. I eventfully came across this place called Walmart (obviously not the famous one) on Bolton Street. The staff in there were helpful and honest, not to mention a good bit cheaper that their nearest competitor. I was delighted and passed my NCT without any difficulty. I told my uncle who is a cab driver and a bit of a know all. When he checked them out he found the same story. So now all his cabbie mates are also getting their tyres done there along with all my family. No complaints and there always the cheapest. I don't know about low profile tyres but give them a call or look at their website

cheapest often means poorest quality. cheapest isn't best.

Don't go with some brand you haven't heard of, or at least get prices and write down the tyre model. compare prices with www.camskill.co.uk - allow roughly 60 euro on top of camskill prices for balancing and fitting.
